Kate Matsufuji was born in 1994 in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Sapporo. She has a father who sells antiques and a mother who is a painter. Kate grew up surrounded by many vessels and paintings. She loves American and British culture. The theme of her illustration is "Modern but nostalgic and warm illustration". She aims to create characters that will be cherished forever.
